FATHER'S DAY EVENT
The Annual Father's Day Reggae Fun Splash Family Event by King Rope-Ins started in 1994 at Wilmer's Park in Brandywine, Maryland. The event showcased the DMV's finest acts by hosting talent shows, dance contest and beauty pageants. The event recognized local DJs, sound systems and businesses such as restaurants and more with the distribution of awards and trophies. Over the years domino and soccer tournaments were held. We have lots of entertainment for the kids including games, a full-size moon bounce and pony rides.
The 14 Parish Reunion started in 2018 where we recognize all parishes and ask all festival goes to dress in their respective parish color. The 14 parishes are divided into three sections/color:
Cornwall - St. Elizabeth, Hanover, St. James, Trelawny & Westmoreland
Middlesex - Clarendon, Manchester, St. Ann, St. Catherine & St. Mary
Surrey - Kingston, Portland, St. Andrew & St. Thomas
The owner of Wilmers Park, Mr. Wilmer passed away in 1999, therefore our location changed over the years. We held the event in various locations within the DMV area from the Brandywine Fire House to the Race Track in Laurel. We are currently holding the events at Walls Farm in Brandywine, Maryland.
